Scope

This policy describes how CSV Data Studio handles information when you import, edit, organize, clean, save and export CSV data. The app works offline without an account.

Information accessed and stored

The app accesses the contents and display name of a file you select through Android’s document picker. You can also enter or paste CSV content directly. This information may include personal information if it appears in your dataset or file name.

The app stores saved projects in its private storage on your device. Saved information includes project names, column headings, cell values, committed edits, modification timestamps and workspace view settings, such as filters and selected rows or columns. It also stores preferences such as delimiter, encoding, header handling and table density. Temporary editing and undo/redo state is held while you work.

The inspected application does not send dataset contents or usage information to the developer. It does not implement account registration, advertising, analytics or remote crash reporting. No access to contacts, location, camera or microphone was identified.

How information is used

The app processes your information to preview and import CSV files; display and edit tables; sort and filter rows; clean values; find and replace text; identify duplicates; calculate statistics; restore saved projects and preferences; and export the results you choose. These operations are performed locally.

Importing and exporting files

Android’s document picker provides access to the file you select and the export destination you choose. Importing creates a working dataset; edits are saved in the app’s project storage. The original source file is not automatically changed. Export writes the selected results to your chosen destination.

A document provider you select may use cloud storage or another external service. That provider may transfer or store the selected file under its own privacy policy. Choosing such a provider can therefore involve data handling outside CSV Data Studio’s local processing.

Sharing and third-party components

The inspected app does not implement developer-operated uploads, automatic data sharing, advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs. It uses Android and Kotlin/Compose components for its interface, file access and local processing.

Android backup is enabled in the application configuration. Depending on your device, operating system and backup settings, app data may be included in system backup or device transfer. Those processes are controlled by the platform and your settings rather than an app-operated cloud service.

Security

The app uses Android’s private application storage for saved projects and preferences, and system document selection for importing and exporting files. No additional app-level encryption for saved projects was identified. File and storage errors may be recorded in local system diagnostic logs; no remote log-upload mechanism was identified.

Although the Android manifest includes internet permission, no active network transfer of user data was identified in the inspected application. The app does not implement a remote data service for which an encryption-in-transit claim could be made. No storage or security measure guarantees complete protection. Your device security and any storage or backup services you choose also affect protection of your information.

Retention and deletion

Saved projects and preferences remain in local app storage until you remove them or the app’s storage is cleared. No automatic retention period is implemented.

You can delete a saved project using Delete on the Projects screen. You can clear the app’s local data through Android settings or uninstall the app to remove its local application storage. Deleting an app project does not delete the original imported file, exported copies or copies held by a document provider or system backup. Manage those copies separately through the relevant file, provider or backup settings.

For privacy questions or deletion-related assistance, contact mateuszbednarski696@gmail.com. There is no account or developer-held dataset deletion workflow in the inspected app, and the developer cannot remotely remove files stored on your device or with a provider you select.

Browser preview

If you use the browser preview, projects and preferences are stored in that browser’s local storage. Clear the preview site’s browser data to remove those saved copies. The preview provides pasted CSV input and displays export output rather than using Android’s document picker.

Children’s privacy

No specific target age group has been established in the supplied information. The inspected app does not implement child accounts, age verification or separate collection of children’s information. Any personal information included in a dataset is processed locally as described above. A parent or guardian may contact the privacy contact with questions.

Policy changes

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the app or its information handling. Review the policy provided with the version you use for current information.
